In 1995, at the age of 28, I became a pregnant widow with a two year old son. At this time, the books that I found for people who were widowed and young were written by people in their 40's. While this is still considered young, it is not the same as being in your twenties or thirties with young children to raise alone. I craved for a book written by someone my age, especially written by someone who had been pregnant when she was widowed. I wanted to read about someone that had survived the loss and gone on with her life.  I wanted hope.It helped me to read books about faith and God's promises during this time, but I was searching for that along with the testimony from a woman who had experienced and survived a similar ordeal. I think my book gives that hope. Besides targeting the younger widowed population, which unfortunately is growing due to war and terrorism, this book also benefits other friends and family members of the bereaved to read.;It can help them realize that what the widowed person is thinking and feeling is all part of the grief process. So often, our friends and family think we should have moved on in a relatively short period, when the reality is that for some people it can take several years.
